When he was the president of PTAA from 2004 to 2005, Ragaza was responsible for introducing reforms to make PTAA truly representative of the travel industry in both national and international arena. Among his leadership’s accomplishments were being principally responsible in the Senate committee hearing of the Tourism Act of 2010 for inclusion of a representative from the Travel and Tour sector in the Tourism Promotions Board; successfully encouraging active participation among other countries’ travel associations during his term as president of the Federation of Asean Travel Association and board member of the Asean Tourism Association; presenting the bid of the Philippines’ hosting of UFTAA Congress in 2008 which resulted in the congress being held again in the Philippines after more than 20 yearsl; representing PTAA in congressional hearings on tourism congress and passporting issues; and many more.
