PTAA Membership Details
Privileges and Benefits of Members:
- Regular, Associate, Allied and Affiliate members exercise their rights and prerogatives membership through their Official Representatives or Alternate Representatives, who is the most senior executive officer
- The Official Representative of Regular members has the right to vote during elections and on all matters which are required to be submitted to the general membership for resolution and to be voted upon as candidate.
- Proper PTAA accreditation through the issuance of a PTAA membership certificate, sticker and Ids which are issued annually.
- Participation in all industry events/ activities in which the association is involved.
- Accreditation with BID, DFA, Embassies and other government agencies.
- Participation in educational and other professional development programs, both sponsored by the Association and/ or co-sponsored with the companies.
- Regular access to updated information on relevant industry issues, events and matters of general interest through memo circulars and the PTAA Record Locator, the association's official publication.
- Marketing exposures/ promotions inbound and outbound / referrals of prospective clients/ business contracts through the Membership Directory published on an annual basis.
- Social Fellowship, networking opportunities local and international..
- Participation in the ASEAN Tourism Forum- Travel Exchange (ATF-Travex)
- Matrixing among the members and suppliers
- Participation to familiarization tour organize by the Association.
Membership Responsibilities:
- Active participation and involvement in the activities of the association, specially in the concerns of the committees.
- Regular attendance at the General Membership and Business Meetings.
- Adherence and commitment to the PTAA Principles of Professional Conduct and Code of Ethics.
- Prompt payment of membership dues and special assessments and other fees.
Affiliations: PTAA is the Philippine representative to:
- Asean Tourism Association - ASEANTA
- Federation of ASEAN Travel Agencies – FATA
- Universal Federation of Travel Agencies Association - UFTAA
Locally, it represents the travel/ tour agency sector in:
- Air Safety Foundation (ASF)
- Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)
- Hotel & Tourism Institute of the Philippines (HTIP)
- Tourism Industry Board Foundation, Inc. (TIBFI)
- Federation of Philippine Industries, Inc. (FPII)
- Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) - Philippine Chapter
- National Tourism Council Board (NTCB)
- Federation of Tourism Industries in the Philippines (FTIP)
Disqualification:
- Cancellation, withdrawal or revocation of LGU License.
- Voluntary resignation
- Default in the payment of membership dues, and other overdue accounts, if any.
- Culpable violation of the Association's By-Laws and the PTAA Code of Ethics.
- Gross unethical or immoral conduct inimical to the objectives and interest of the Association and/or the tourism industry.
