The grandest and most awaited event for the travel industry, the Travel Tour Expo (TTE) 2016, opens its doors on February 5, 6 and 7, at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.
Organized by the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), TTE 2016 will showcase over 306 exhibitors from various sectors such as airlines, resorts, hotels, domestic tour operators, national tourism organizations, travel agencies and other stakeholders. Offerings include various products, destinations, travel packages and discounted rates.
PTAA conceptualized the TTE in 1994 to showcase the products and services of its members. Over the years, the travel fair has become the grandest annual event in the industry including all segments of travel business. Last year, more than 100,000 visitors and travelers visited the fair.
This year, PTAA welcomes an innovation to its successful travel event by adding the International trade Expo (ITTE), a B2B travel trade mart devoted towards tapping the growing Philippine market for overseas travel.
Around 400 members of the PTAA, many of which are travel agents, tour operators and other travel associations, will be supporting this co-located event. As an added feature to the expo, the ITTE converges exhibitors, sellers, hosted buyers all over the country and travel agents under one roof. The travel trade will be held simultaneously with the TTE.
With at least USD5 billion in profits at the end of 2015, visitor arrivals continue to grow with more than 6 million travelers expected to visit the country this year. Underscoring all these gains, the PTAA, along with its partners and allied organizations rallies behind the travel sector to stay competitive amid the changing landscape of travel.
